Latitude59 is the greatest conference for IT and tech startups in Estonia. The name is referred to the 59. latitude, where can be found the capital Tallinn. After the welcome speech of Kersti Kaljulaid (see photo) the conference started with pitching of new ideas.
day 1: pitch of new ideas
Founders present their ideas to to convince the audience and some of the investors. The following ideas, I was whatching (see photo), seem to have huge potential:
- NutiParkla: Software as a Service, which analysis pictures of parking lots and provides information about the usage via APIs
- Clicklog: works lige the game Tetris for warehouses and trucks
- Idyllum: WSO (Web Security Optimization) is the next SEO
- id blender: Single Identity solution to access Wi-Fi and VPN
- Graboxy: motion based authentification
day 2: founder stories
The second day was full of experiences of different companies and founders. Very interesting and inspiring was the talk of Kristjan Maruste, CEO of Comodule (see photo). Comodule is producing connected electronics and the appropriated software solutions that can be found in thousands of bikes, E-Scooters and motorcycles. The speech (3:38:00 bis 3:28:23) gave a lot of insights of the company story and why it is epic to produce B2C products – just watch it yourself.
